THIS IS NOT A CANADIAN ARMED FORCES WEBSITE
This is an unofficial cadet website that is not intended to represent in any way the policies or procedures of either the Department of National Defense, the Canadian Armed Forces or the Cadet Leagues of Canada.
The Royal Canadian Army Cadet program is the ultimate challenge for motivated young people aged 12 to 18 looking to develop leadership skills, physical fitness, and engage in adventurous activities. Our approach to adventure training allows cadets to build unique experiences and experience all that Canada has to offer.
Are you looking for new challenges, or do you know a young person who is? The Army Cadet program is just what you've been looking for! Even if you have never thought about cadets before, the time is right to get to know us. Army cadets compete in various sports, participate in adventurous activities like mountain biking, canoeing/kayaking, learn survival skill and much more.

Our cadets are starting their preparation for Winter Training! As the weather turns cold, we start to prepare to train the cadets to operate effectively in the cold. This training will include foundations of knots and lashings, effects of cold weather, cold weather injuries and their prevention, snow shoeing, and using cold weather clothing and equipment. This training will culminate in an overnight field training exercise in February.
Learning to live and work in the cold is a reality for all Canadians, so this training provides our cadets a unique opportunity to take this ongoing need to the next level. If you know a young person who may benefit from learning more skills like this, take the time to join us and participate in this and many other unique adventures for youth!
